NEW ACQUISITIONS OF THE GALLERY

On April 13th 2010, Prime Minister Boiko Borissov, accompanied by the Minister of Culture, Vezhdi Rashidov, visited the National Gallery for Foreign Art. After viewing the permanent exhibition, Mr Borissov presented to the Gallery’s director, Ms Irina Mutafshieva, three valuable prints:

On his own behalf: Woman, a work by Pablo Picasso from the Californian Diary cycle, 1955;

On behalf of Mr Vezhdi Rashidov: Marc Chagall’s The Prostitute Rahab of Jericho and the Spies, from the Drawings for the Bible cycle, 1960.

On behalf of Minister Simeon Dyankov: Salvador Dali, Dante and Beatrice, from The Divine Comedy cycle, 1960/4.
