The exhibition presented paintings, graphic works, sculptures, which are part of the collection kept at the Palazzo Farnesina in Rome, the seat of the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
In a remarkable way the presented works speak about the most interesting artistic trends and persons characterizing the Italian pictorial art in the second half of the 20th century.
For the first time the Bulgarian audience was offered an almost complete panorama of the art of this period, including works of high artistic quality and professional skills. Works of 100 artists were presented to mention only the names of Carla Accardi, Lucio Fontana, Alighieri Boeti, Alberto Buri, Francesco Clemente, Enzo Cucci, Yannis Kounellis, Mario Merzi, Mimmo Paladino, Pino Pascali, Mario Schiffano, Emilio Vedova, along with painters such as Renato Guttuzo, Ugo Attardi, whose works are included in the collection of the National Gallery for Foreign Art.
