Anne de Colbert Christophorov works in the area of the paintings, drawings, illustrations and textiles. Born in Luke, Provence, Southern France, she lives and works in Paris. She has participated in numerous solo and group exhibitions in France, USA, South Korea, Germany, Italy, Finland, Belgium, Togo, Gabon, Russia, Japan, Albania, Brazil and many others. In the period 1992-2009 she had pursued 14 exhibitions in various cities of Bulgaria. She is also the author of several books of poetry and a member of the prestigious Parisian Society. Winner of many awards including the gold medal at the International Show in Rome (1989); the “Bernheim Foundation” prize, Paris (1990); the third prize at the International Exhibition in Bruges, Belgium (1996); the silver medal in the Salon “Dravey”, France (2002 ); the award for a fresco from the National Society of Fine Arts, France (2006), etc. She is a descendant of a famous French family - The Colbert, whose most famous representative is Jean-Baptiste Colbert, French politician and finance minister of Louis XIV from 1665 until his death in 1683. She married the Bulgarian professor Boyan Christophorov, a well known doctor in France. The family Christophorov is actively engaged in charity.

The works of Anne de Colbert - Christophorov are characterized by a pronounced color and the juxtaposition of pure color contrasts. Bulgaria and the Bulgarian nature inspirited her. In her paintings the native Provence is also presented. "I don’t know if I‘ve put down the colors of Provence in my paintings, but certainly my whole life was marked by those colors, the vitality that comes from southern France…"
"…I started painting relatively late, with a great passion to express myself in the colors. My subjects are drawn down from the dreams, my rich imagination helps me developed them. In my paintings there are no figures, but there is always a human presence, which infuses the atmosphere of the farms, the cities and the villages. Whatever art technique I choose to work, with the years more and more the soul and the colors of Bulgaria penetrate me …"
